Several Iraqis hurt in series of blasts

BAGHDAD, Sept. 25 (UPI) -- Explosions in scattered areas of Baghdad injured 10 Iraqis Thursday, authorities say.

Four civilians were injured when a U.S. Army patrol was hit by an explosive device in the Zaytoonah area of the Iraqi capital, KUNA, the Kuwait news agency, reported.

Three civilians were hurt in a blast in the Zafaraniyah neighborhood in southern Baghdad.

The U.S. military also announced the injury of seven civilians after troops were attacked with an explosive device in eastern Baghdad on Wednesday.
