KNOXVILLE, Ala., Sept. 23 (UPI) -- The search is still on for a young waitress from Alabama who went missing Friday, officials said.

The Knoxville (Ala.) News Sentinel reported Tuesday that Jennifer Lee Hampton, 21, of Florence, Ala., disappeared from a Days Inn in West Knoxville.

The newspaper reported that Hampton was staying in the hotel along with several co-workers from Mama Blues Buffet. They were in town helping open a new restaurant, Knoxville Police Department spokesman Darrell DeBusk said.

"She was staying alone at the hotel," he said. "All the employees had different rooms."

Hampton's employer is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to her recovery, DeBusk said.
