INDIANAPOLIS, Sept. 22 (UPI) -- An associate pastor at an Indianapolis church has been arrested for allegedly being married to two women at the same time, police say.

Lt. Dave Young, the head of a metropolitan police special investigations unit, said Spencer K. Osborne, 36, of an unidentified Indianapolis church allegedly had once been married to three different women but has since divorced one, The Indianapolis Star reported Monday.

Young told the newspaper an anonymous tip led to the discovery of Osborne's two marriages and the legal situation was intensified when it was learned the minister was a convicted sex offender.

The investigator told the Star that since Osborne was convicted of molesting a young girl in 1993, police were concerned with the fact he was teaching young children at his church.

Police told the Star said Osborne is also facing an additional charge of not paying child support in the amount of $60,000.
