DAVIS, Calif., Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Prosecutors in California say a neo-Nazi skinhead has been sentenced to 30 years for attacking a man for wearing an anti-Nazi T-shirt.

Michael Rose, 28, was convicted of retaliating against the man and badly injuring him in April 2005, The Sacramento (Calif.) Bee reported Monday.

Rose, who was sentenced Friday in Yolo Superior Court, and Christopher Vochatzer, both alleged members of a so-called skinhead gang, entered the man's apartment in Davis and beat him with a baseball bat and a metal pipe, prosecutors told the Bee.

Rose, who eluded police for nearly two years, was convicted in March of assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, false imprisonment and exhibiting a deadly weapon, the Bee reported.

Vochatzer was sentenced in 2006 to 28 years for assault with a deadly weapon and other felonies, the Bee reported.
