WASHINGTON, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- U.S. Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama Monday aired a new TV ad that accuses Republican rival John McCain of running a dishonest campaign.
The ad called "Honor" shows McCain saying, "I will not take the low road to the highest office in this land." The ad's announcer then asks, "What's happened to John McCain? After voting with Bush 90 percent of the time, proposing the same disastrous economic policies, it seems 'deception' is all he has left," The Boston Globe reported Monday.
In response, McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds said the ad shows Obama is "desperate" to move the spotlight off his "thin, but alarming record on the issues."
