The Supreme Court's Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions has been hearing evidence of corruption charges while Shinawatra and his wife, Khunying Potjaman, have remained in Britain, where they have been living in exile, the Bangkok Post reported Friday.

Prosecutors delivered their closing argument in the case Tuesday with the Court expected to deliver its verdict next week, the Post reported.

Shinawatra and his wife are alleged to have benefited financially in land transactions involving a state agency, the Post reported.
