Caylee's mom charged with theft

ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 11 (UPI) -- The mother of a missing Florida girl was charged Thursday with stealing from a friend who had lent her a car.

Prosecutors in Orange County say that Casey Anthony borrowed Amy Huizenga's car while Huizenga was in Puerto Rico in July, the Orlando Sentinel reported. She allegedly stole some of Huizenga's checks and cashed them at stores, cleaning out her bank account.

Anthony reported her daughter, Caylee, 3, missing in July. She originally told police she had last seen the little girl weeks earlier when she left Caylee in the care of a babysitter.

Since then, she has been charged with neglect and with unrelated theft charges. Police and volunteers have searched for Caylee or her body without result.

Prosecutors said that Caylee had already posted bond on the formal charges filed Thursday and would not be re-arrested, Fox News said.

Neighbors in the Orlando subdivision where Anthony's parents live plan to ask a judge to limit the number of protesters around the house.

"We do not care if the content supports or criticizes the Anthonys," Karen Wonsetler, a lawyer for the homeowners' association, told the Sentinel. "What we hope to accomplish is to restrict the time, place and manner of the protest to reasonable activities and hours."
