DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Two surfers at a beach in Ponce Inlet, Fla., say they were bitten by a shark within minutes of one another.

Minutes after a lifeguard began treating one surfer for a reported shark bite last weekend, another surfer informed the beach official he too had been attacked, WFTV of Orlando, Fla., reported Monday.

The 15-year-old and 43-year-old males received medical treatment for their minor injuries at the scene.

WFTV said the two incidents brought the yearly total for shark attacks in the Florida county to 21.
