WASHINGTON, Sept. 8 (UPI) -- Three people died Monday in several attacks across Baghdad, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said.

One citizen died and six Iraqis were wounded when Iraqi security personnel attached to a government envoy opened fire after hearing shots in central area of the Iraqi capital, CNN reported.

Two roadside bombs killed two citizens and wounded a total of 13 people in Baghdad, reported KUNA, the Kuwaiti news agency.

Police said one explosive device detonated on Baghdad's Palestine Street, killing one and injuring 11, KUNA said. The second explosion killed one police officer, while injuring another officer as well as a civilian.
