Kerrier District Council head Graeme Hicks said the curfew in the Cornwall County town has worked so well it may be extended to other parts of the county, The Daily Telegraph reported Saturday.
"The operation has been really successful. It can only work with the support of the community, but it is something we will be thinking of extending to other parts of the county," the Redruth official said.
The temporary curfew, which required anyone under the age of 16 to be indoors by 9 p.m., was put into effect after young people began gathering in at outdoor locations late at night.
Hicks told the Telegraph he has begun talks to have Operation Goodnight extended throughout the county to help towns with similar problems.
"It's been about the parents taking responsibility for their children and picking them up from play areas and making sure they are home at night," he said of the controversial curfew.
