'Body Snatcher' head gets 2 life terms

MILWAUKEE, Sept. 5 (UPI) -- The alleged head of a Milwaukee criminal gang nicknamed "The Body Snatchers" has been sentenced to two life terms for killing two drug dealers.

Michael Lock was pinioned in a wheelchair for security during his sentencing Wednesday, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported.

"You absolutely showed no concern for human life," Circuit Court Judge Jeffrey Wagner said. "You thought you had the power to decide who lived and who died."

Lock was convicted in July of killing the drug dealers in 1999 and 2000. The bodies were discovered in 2005, concealed by concrete slabs in the backyard of a house Lock formerly owned.

In addition to the life terms for murder, Wagner gave Lock 22 years for kidnapping a drug dealer in 2002 and five years on a drug charge. He faces another trial for running a prostitution operation that involved his wife.

Prosecutors said Lock's gang dealt large quantities of drugs.

"They believed they could do anything they wanted to, that they were untouchable and frankly they were untouchable," said Assistant District Attorney Mark Williams.
