Prosecutor seeks 15 years for terrorists

THE HAGUE, Netherlands, Sept. 2 (UPI) -- The Public Prosecutor's Office in the Netherlands is going after stiffer prison sentences for five convicted terrorists, officials said.

The prosecutor's office is seeking lengthy prison sentences for Samir Azzouz and four others convicted of planning to attack politicians and the secret service headquarters near The Hague, Expatica reported Tuesday.

Azzouz was sentenced to eight years in prison. Three others were given up to four years in jail, while a fifth suspect was acquitted.

The prosecutor wants prison sentences of up to 15 years for Azzouz and the others.
