ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 1 (UPI) -- Florida police searching for Caylee Marie Anthony say evidence from her mother's car indicates it likely held the body of the missing 3-year-old.

"We clearly have evidence that indicates that there was a dead body in the trunk of (Casey Anthony's) car, and that that body was Caylee," Sgt. John Allen told WFTV-Channel 9 Sunday.

Investigators reached their conclusion from FBI tests conducted on hair, a stain, dirt and air samples taken from the trunk of the mother's car after it was found abandoned, the Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported Monday.

Caylee was last seen in mid-June and reported missing July 15. Her mother was arrested Friday night for passing bad checks while her bail was revoked on earlier charges of child neglect and giving false information to authorities, police said.

Anthony has told police she left Caylee with a babysitter, who has not been found.
