Daniel Thompson, 31, who owns a business that edits adult content out of Hollywood films, was also sentenced to two years probation and fined $740 by a 4th District Court in American Fork, Utah, The Salt Lake Tribune reported Friday. He was ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation.
Thompson admitted to the January sexual encounter with two 14-year-old girls -- who were paid by co-defendant Isaac Lifferth to perform oral sex on Thompson -- but said he broke off the deal after only one minute because he felt guilty.
He pleaded no contest July 18 to two counts of sexual battery in a plea deal that reduced the third-degree felonies to class A misdemeanors and dropped one count of patronizing a prostitute.
Lifferth pleaded guilty in June to two third-degree felony counts of unlawful sex with a minor, one count of patronizing a prostitute and one misdemeanor count of drug possession. The court sentenced him to nine months imprisonment followed by three months probation. He was also ordered to pay a $1,025 fine, complete sex-offender treatment and stay away from girls under age 18.
