Millionaire and family missing since fire

BIRMINGHAM, England, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Police in the Britain's Shropshire district say they have been unable to find millionaire Christopher Foster and his family since a fire destroyed their home.

The Times of London said Thursday that police are investigating whether the fire in the town of Oswestry was the result of Foster's business dealings or possibly arson at the hands of the millionaire.

"Until we can enter the property, we do not know whether the family was inside at the time of the fire, which we believe was started deliberately," Superintendent Gary Higgins said.

Foster had a 48-year-old wife and a 15-year-old daughter, the Times said.

The Daily Telegraph said emergency workers have been unable to search the home's remains since Tuesday's fire because the area has been deemed dangerous.

A guest at a recent barbeque thrown by Foster, 50, said there were no visible indicators that the businessman was troubled.

"There was certainly no sign of anything untoward. They seemed absolutely fine, just completely normal," the unidentified source told the Telegraph.
