YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- Police in Ohio say they have tracked down the reputed base of a major trafficking ring for counterfeit clothing and consumer goods.
Assorted items valued at as much as $20 million was seized late last week in a raid on a building in Weathersfield Township outside Youngstown.
The Cincinnati Enquirer said Wednesday that the raid stemmed from a May crackdown on vendors at the Traders World flea market.
"It's the largest bust of its kind in the state ever," said Monroe Police detective Ken Parson.
Three people from New York City were arrested in the raid and will likely be formally indicted on charges of engaging in a corrupt activity, officials said.
The Enquirer said the confiscated goods ranged from knockoff Prada and Chanel handbags to toothpaste and Cincinnati Reds baseball caps.
