The girl's body has not been discovered. Her grandfather, Roni Ron of Netanya, says he dumped it in the Yarkon River after killing her accidentally, Ynetnews.com reported Tuesday.

Ron's daughter-in-law, who is also the mother of his two young children, has also been charged.

The couple were arrested Aug. 19. Ynetnews says a gag order about the case was dropped after a French newspaper published details.

The tangled story began with the marriage of Ron's son, Binyamin, to Marie Pisam, a French citizen. The couple lived in both Israel and France and had a daughter, Rose.

When they separated, Binyamin Ron decided to live in France while Marie lived in Israel. Rose at first lived with her father but joined her mother last year and disappeared in May this year.

Roni Ron's mother, Vivienne, instigated an investigation.

Ron says he killed Rose accidentally when he hit her because she was misbehaving while the two were alone in a car. His attorney suggests he made up the story so Marie would be freed.
