MIAMI, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- At least one witness to a major cyclist crash in Miami said in a frantic 911 call that the accident was the "most horrible thing I've ever seen."

Attorney Raymond Valori's 911 call to authorities following the weekend crash on the MacArthur Causeway reveals the extent of the trauma inflicted when 12 cyclists crashed into an automobile, The Miami Herald said Tuesday.

"People were 10 feet up in the air. It's the most horrible thing I've ever seen. You need to send multiple ambulances now,'' Valori said to the 911 dispatcher Sunday.

Another 911 tape released by authorities echoes Valori's stance as another nearby witness describes the magnitude of the incident.

"A cab just ran into like 10 bicyclists and left them smashed on the road," an unidentified female caller said. "Please get here quickly. There's people spread all over the road.''

Valori told the Herald that he has yet to be able to forget the traffic accident, which left one bicyclist seriously injured.

''I can't get it out of my head; I'm still trying to file it in the right place,'' Valori said. "You could hear the bicycle metal crunching and people screaming.''
