Wednesday, November 26
The former New York mayor and presidential candidate tops a roster of speakers that also includes U.S. President George Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sen. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn.
CBS News said Giuliani would speak Sept. 2, the second day of the convention, and would follow prime-time addresses by Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who like Giuliani had been part of the GOP primary field.
Bush and first lady Laura Bush are slated for prime-time Monday along with Schwarzenegger.
Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., the party's presumptive nominee, will make his acceptance speech Thursday evening.
