AMSTETTEN, Austria, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- An Austrian woman whose father kept her imprisoned in a cellar so he could sexually abuse her has rejected government offers to give her a new identity.

Instead, Elizabeth Fritzl plans to live in a secret location an hour away from the home in Amstetten where she was imprisoned for 24 years, The Daily Telegraph reported Monday.

Fritzl will change her surname and move with her six children following the conclusion of her father's trial on charges that include manslaughter, rape, abuse and incest.

The family is residing at a psychiatric clinic in the town awaiting the start of the trial in December.

Fritzl was drugged and locked in a cellar at the age of 18.

For the next 24 years, she said she was raped repeatedly by her father and gave birth to seven children. One of the infants died soon after birth and her father is accused of burning the body.
