JERUSALEM, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- Paramedics in Ofakim, Israel, said they were trapped in a house with a family of 15 after hundreds of bees swarmed the home in the southern town.
The Magen David Adom ambulance service said paramedics were forced to enter the home Friday through the back door due to the large number of bees swarming inside the front entrance and they were able to treat two family members who were mildly injured by multiple bee stings, Ynetnews reported Friday.
However, the paramedics said they found that after treating the injured, they were trapped inside the home with about 15 residents.
"We are waiting for a specialist to come and disperse the bees, so that we can go out," paramedic Ron Amir said.
The paramedics said they did not know where the bees came from or why they were swarming the house.
