DENVER, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- Denver police say children were among more than 50 prostitutes in a sex ring run by a man and woman now under arrest.
Hong Tang, 28, and Todd Allen Powell, 44, are alleged to have run an operation since 2005 that included "50 female prostitutes, including children," and made more than $1 million annually, The Denver Post reported Monday.
Police reportedly declined to say exactly how young the children involved were, saying they wanted to keep that information private while the prosecution's case was being developed.
Tang was arrested Friday on nine felony counts of pimping, procurement and pandering, and is being held in Denver City Jail until a $500,000 bail is posted. Powell was arrested Saturday on charges of pimping, conspiracy and other prostitution-related offenses, and is being held in lieu of a $500,000 bail.
