STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 11 (UPI) -- A Swedish hospital says one of its employees photographed an operation and sought comments on it by putting the pictures on the social networking site Facebook.
A spokesman for Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm says taking photographs in operating theaters is strictly forbidden unless it is for educational purposes, Sweden's The Local reported Monday.
The hospital planned to call a meeting of its entire surgical staff to discuss the matter and remind staff members of the hospital's code of ethics.
The spokesman said the hospital is considering whether to fire the staff member and report the incident to police.
The staff member removed the images from Facebook after officials learned of their existence.
