City approves giant rabbit sign
ANDERSON, Ind., Aug. 8 (UPI) -- City officials in Anderson, Ind., say construction of a 50-foot-tall cartoon rabbit sign at the entrance to a new Nestle food plant can go forward.
The rabbit is the logo of Nestle's Nesquik drink, which will be produced at the plant, The Indianapolis Star reported Friday.
The steel and fiberglass rabbit will stand near the plant along Interstate 69, northeast of Indianapolis, the newspaper said.
City zoning board members approved the project Wednesday. Officials said the giant sign could help bring revenues to Anderson.
Nestle's $359 million plant is scheduled to open in October and employ about 300 people.
