ORLANDO, Fla., Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Diving exercises are set to take place in waterways near the Orange County, Fla., home where missing 2-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony lived, officials say.

Orange County Sheriff's Deputy Carlos Padilla said Thursday that the waterway exercises aren't related to the search for the girl, who was reported missing July 15, The Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported.

"Nothing has led us to believe (Caylee) would be in the water," Padilla said.

The search for the missing toddler did include a third search of her mother's Orange County home Wednesday. Investigators did remove several items from the home but wouldn't specify what potential evidence they had discovered.

Caylee's mother, Casey Anthony, emerged as a potential suspect in the missing child case after George Anthony, Caylee's grandfather, reported finding two stolen gasoline cans in the trunk of his daughter's car.

The Sentinel said investigators had also found a hair and a stain in the back seat of the car belonging to Caylee's mother, who has alleged her child disappeared while in the care of a baby sitter.
