ISTANBUL, Turkey, Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Turkish security forces said three explosions occurred Thursday near the Uskudar area close to Istanbul's Asian district.

Municipal Chief Mehmet Caskir said one blast was in a garbage container and two others were near a burial ground by the municipal building, reported KUNA, the Kuwait News Agency.

Police said the explosions caused minimal damage to the building and some vehicles parked nearby. Earlier reports indicated one person was injured.

Caskir said authorities were searching for two people seen leaving the scene.
