SAN MARINO, Calif., Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Clark Rockefeller, arraigned on charges he kidnapped his daughter, is a "person of interest" in a 1985 double society disappearance in California, police said.
Fingerprints taken by Boston police from the balding, 48-year-old man calling himself Clark Rockefeller came up a match with prints held by police in San Marino, Calif., as belonging to a man named Christopher Chichester.
The Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday that Chichester was wanted for questioning in connection with the disappearances of a wealthy young couple and disappeared himself shortly thereafter.
Authorities believe "Clark Rockefeller" is an alias the man used while married to Boston socialite and businesswoman Sandra Boss. Boss called police last month when Rockefeller allegedly kidnapped their 7-year-old daughter during a custody visit. Police arrested the man last weekend in Baltimore and found the girl unharmed.
The Times said San Marino police have noted a physical similarity between Rockefeller and Chichester, whom they say lived in a guest house on the property of Jonathan Sohus, 26, and his wife Linda, 28. All three disappeared in 1985 and unidentified human remains were found buried in the yard in 1994, the newspaper said.
