Report: Gotti Jr. busted for mob hits

NEW YORK, Aug. 5 (UPI) -- A New York television station reported Tuesday that John "Junior" Gotti, son of the late mob leader John Gotti, was arrested in connection with three killings.

WNBC-TV, New York, cited unidentified sources who said Gotti was picked up by the FBI on Long Island Tuesday morning and would appear before a federal judge in Manhattan later in the day.

Sources said the murder conspiracy charges stem from an ongoing racketeering investigation into a Florida drug ring involving Gambino crime family associates, WNBC reported.

Gotti, 44, has served time in previous organized crime cases, however, he has also publicly declared he hated mob life and wanted out.
