TEL AVIV, Israel, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Airport police say an Israeli family headed to Paris accidentally left their 4-year-old daughter at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport.

The ultra-orthodox family of seven was so intent on catching their flight and managing 18 suitcases that they failed to notice the little girl didn't get on the plane, The Times of London reported Monday.

"I saw a little girl in tears. She was looking for her parents," said an airport policewoman. "Luckily she was able to give me her name."

The policewoman said she ran to the gate with the little girl but by the time they arrived the family's plane had taken off.

Authorities placed the girl on the next plane to Paris accompanied by a flight attendant.
