NEW YORK, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- A New York man has been charged in U.S. court for claiming he got Gerber employees to poison baby food, court officials said.

Federal prosecutors said the man, identified as Anton "Trashman" Dunn of Harlem, touched off a panic by posting Internet videos claiming he was able to poison millions of containers of baby food, the Daily News in New York reported.

Dunn, 42, was charged with sending threats in interstate commerce and falsely claiming to have tampered with a consumer product.

Wearing a black ski mask, Dunn allegedly posted at least three videos on YouTube and other Internet sites with bogus claims of mass food poisonings that killed babies, authorities said.

Authorities said the found no evidence of the tampering and no reports of injuries or deaths were forwarded to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Daily News said Thursday

"It's clearly designed to create panic or havoc," prosecutor Seetha Ramachandran said.

Neighbors told the Daily News that Dunn was known for his odd behavior.

"He seemed crazy, like something was mentally wrong with him," neighbor Bruce Lewis said. "He just wasn't all there."
