CHENGDU, China, Aug. 1 (UPI) -- A 6.1-magnitude aftershock rattled southwest China's Sichuan Province Friday, forcing some residents to leave the area as crews cleared debris, officials said.
Serious landslides took place from Pingwu County to Nanba Township, where rocks weighing several tons fell, Xinhua, China's official news agency reported.
Officials said no deaths have been reported.
Crews used machinery to clear debris from affected areas and people living near the Jiuzhaigou-Huanglong route were ordered to leave the area, the report said.
Xinhua said the tremor's epicenter was between Pingwu County and Beichuan County, Mianyang City.
