Suspect arrested in slaying, abductions

LYNN, Mass., July 30 (UPI) -- A Massachusetts man suspected of fatally stabbing a woman and kidnapping his estranged wife and four children was arrested in New York Wednesday, police said.

The Massachusetts State Police canceled an Amber Alert for the children after they and their mother were found safe in a Brooklyn apartment shortly after the suspect, Rodlyn Petitbois, 25, was arrested on a Brooklyn street, AmberAlert.org said on its Web site.

Petitbois, who once lived in New York, allegedly kidnapped his wife, Louna Eveillard, 26, and the couple's four children, who range in age from 3 years to 11 months, The Boston Globe reported.

Petitbois is suspected of fatally stabbing Greenland Etienne, 33, in the face in her Boston apartment, the Globe said. Police said they were investigating an alleged "social" relationship between Etienne, Petitbois and his wife.
