ISTANBUL, Turkey, July 30 (UPI) -- Turkish authorities have arrested nine people in connection with two Istanbul bombings that killed 17 people Sunday, media reports said.

Those arrested allegedly have links to the bombers, the BBC quoted local Turkish media as saying Wednesday.

At least 150 people were injured in the blasts, which no group has yet claimed responsibility for. Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has implied that the Kurdish separatist group PKK is to blame.

Erdogan said earlier this week the bombings were a "cost" of the government's campaign against the PKK, the BBC said.
