CINCINNATI, July 30 (UPI) -- A decomposed body found in a local woods was determined to have been a missing Cincinnati-area attorney, authorities say.

Margaret Allen, 37, was identified from dental records Hamilton County Coroner O'dell Owens told The Cincinnati Enquirer. Allen's death has been ruled a homicide. Owens told the newspaper the cause of death was strangulation.

"The entire legal community is in shock," said Allen's friend and fellow attorney Carl Lewis. He described her in positive terms both professionally and personally, the Enquirer said.

Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Norbert Nadel said he had seen Allen in his courtroom in mid-July.

"You don't think this is how somebody will die," he said. "She was a really good attorney and fine young person."
