ATLANTA, July 30 (UPI) -- A passenger died Wednesday in the bathroom of a Delta Air Lines flight heading from Los Angeles to Atlanta, an airline spokeswoman said.

The body was discovered just before Flight 950 was about to land, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

"Upon final approach into Atlanta, our in-flight crew was advised that a passenger passed away in the on-board restroom," Delta spokeswoman Keyra Lynn-Johnson said. "Medical professionals and authorities met the flight."

Johnson said she had had no information on the passenger.
