BOSTON, July 29 (UPI) -- Boston police announced Tuesday they were questioning the driver of an SUV believed used in the alleged kidnapping of young Reigh "Snooks" Boss by her father.
Police refused to say where the vehicle was found or whether or not the driver was Clark Rockefeller, who allegedly took off with his daughter on Sunday during a supervised visit, The Boston Globe reported.
Rockefeller and 7-year-old Reigh have been the targets of an intensive search in the Boston and New York City areas.
The FBI, police and the U.S. Coast Guard were looking for the 72-foot catamaran "Serenity," which was docked on Long Island, due to suspicions Rockefeller might try to spirit his daughter off to Bermuda, The New York Post reported.
While Rockefeller appears to have the resources that would go with the family name, he is not a member of the famed clan and his true identity is becoming increasingly unclear.
The Post says there are few public records pertaining to him and his Social Security number was issued only a few years ago. Any property apparently was in his former wife's name.
The Globe said its sources report that people who know Rockefeller considered him to be a con man, although he has no prior police record.
