July 29, 2008 at 10:31 PM

WASHINGTON, July 29 (UPI) -- Scrabulous, the Scrabble-like game that was one of the most popular features on Facebook, has been removed from the Internet social networking Web site.

The Internet game, created by Rajat Agarwalla and Jayant Agarwalla, had 2.3 million users, The Washington Post noted Tuesday.

Hasbro, which owns the original board game Scrabble, has accused the pair of ripping off its game.

For now, Scrabulous continues to be available on its own site, but with fewer hits than on the popular Facebook site, the newspaper reported.
