BEIJING, July 29 (UPI) -- Despite assurances that censorship of foreign Web sites would be lifted, journalists arriving in Beijing for the Olympics say some sites are still blocked.

Politically sensitive Web sites such as two dealing with Tibet and Taiwan were still unreachable in Beijing Tuesday, The Telegraph reported.

When asked why those Web sites were blocked, Sun Weijia, media operations director for the Olympic Games, said he didn't know of any such problems.

"I am not clear if the question of those two Web sites is a technical one or not," he told the newspaper.
