INDIANAPOLIS, July 23 (UPI) -- A former high school girls swim coach in Indiana pleaded guilty Wednesday to federal charges he secretly videotaped the teen athletes undressing.

Brian D. Hindson, 40, of Carmel, Ind., pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Indianapolis to 11 counts of producing child pornography, four counts of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography, federal authorities announced in a news release.

Hindson had been head coach and chief executive officer of Central Indiana Aquatics, head coach of Kokomo High School swimming and diving and as a coaches representative for Indiana Swimming Inc.

Over a 10-year period, Hindson hid video cameras in locker rooms at Kokomo High School and Memorial Gym in Kokomo, covertly videotaping female swimmers from his teams while they undressed, authorities said. The criminal activity was discovered when he sold a laptop computer on eBay to buyers in Gastonia, N.C. A subsequent search warrant executed at Hindson's home turned up pornographic images and videos, including several of teenage girls filmed in the same locker room.

Hindson could be sent to prison for 25-35 years and fined $250,000 when he is sentenced Oct. 17, 2008.
