WASHINGTON, July 22 (UPI) -- The campaign of Republican U.S. presidential candidate John McCain sent an e-mail Tuesday claiming the news media are "in love" with Democrat Barack Obama.
The e-mail links to two videos of clips of Chris Matthews of MSNBC and other high-profile media figures, The Hill reports. Love songs play on the soundtrack.
Obama, the Illinois senator who is the likely Democratic nominee, began the longest overseas trip ever made by a presidential candidate last week. The McCain videos note that ABC, CBS and NBC all sent news anchors along.
"The media is in love with Barack Obama," the e-mail said. "If it wasn't
so serious, it would be funny."
The e-mail invites McCain supporters to vote for their favorite video -- and to contribute to the Arizona senator's campaign.
