ORLANDO, Fla., July 22 (UPI) -- The mother of a missing Florida toddler is a "person of interest" in a possible homicide, investigators said Tuesday.

A judge set bail at $500,000 for Casey Anthony, 22, the Orlando Sentinel reported. She was charged with child neglect and other charges involving alleged lies to police about her daughter's whereabouts.

Caylee Marie Anthony, 2, has not been seen for more than a month.

At a three-hour hearing, investigators said stains, along with hair and dirt, were found in the trunk of a car in Casey Anthony used. There also was the odor of human decomposition, the same odor detected in her parents' backyard.

Investigators found nothing when they dug in the backyard, however.

Orange County Circuit Judge Stan Strickland said Casey Anthony should be under electronic monitoring if she makes bail.

Cindy Anthony, Casey's mother, told an interviewer on the "Early Show" on CBS that her daughter "has her reasons why she can't be completely honest" with police.
