Friday, October 10
Three weapons caches and two buildings believed to be used as instructional centers in terrorist operations were found near Samarra, about 70 miles north of Baghdad on the east bank of the Tigris River, a coalition release said Tuesday.
The caches reportedly contained hundreds of artillery rounds, rockets and mortars, rocket-propelled grenades, several anti-aircraft weapons, vehicle mounts and ammunition, as well as other explosives
All the weapons were destroyed on site before aircraft were called in to level the buildings, and a sweep was done throughout the entire area, the coalition said.
