GUANTANAMO BAY, Cuba, July 21 (UPI) -- A military judge Monday excluded records of interrogation by the FBI or others at the trial of Osama bin Laden's driver without explaining why.

The judge, Navy Capt. Keith Allred, is expected to provide later this week a written ruling as to why he disallowed the interrogation material for suspect Salim Ahmed Hamdam, The Miami Herald reported online.

Hamdan, accused of ferrying weapons for al-Qaida, will be tried before a military commission with a jury of uniformed officers at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

He is also accused of being the personal chauffeur for terror master Osama bin Laden and was allegedly was aware of bin Laden's role in the attacks and helped him escape after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and the bombings of two U.S. embassies in Africa in 1998.

On Monday, Hamdam pleaded not guilty to the charges.
