BEIRUT, Lebanon, July 18 (UPI) -- Lebanese militant and convicted killer Samir Kuntar said he was "jealous of our enemy" a day after being released in a Israel-Hezbollah prisoner swap.

"I'm jealous of the Zionists, who don't spare any effort in bringing back captured soldiers or soldiers' bodies," Kuntar said after his Wednesday release. "Seriously, we are jealous of our enemy and its care for a corpse and how it goes to the end of the world in order to return it, and of its concerns for captives and how it will go to the very edge to bring them back."

Kuntar, who kidnapped and killed Danny Haran and his 4-year-old daughter, Einat, in a 1979 terrorist attack, criticized Arab countries for insufficiently supporting Palestinian efforts during conflict with Israel, the Jerusalem Post reported Friday.

Kuntar denied killing the young child Wednesday.
