JAKARTA, July 17 (UPI) -- The three men convicted of the deadly 2002 bombing at a Bali nightclub in Indonesia have one last chance to avoid execution -- a presidential pardon.

Amrozi, his brother, Mukhlas, and Imam Samudra -- like many Indonesians they use only one name -- have said they would not seek clemency from President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. But officials told the Australian newspaper The Age that they will be asked if they have changed their minds.

Relatives of those who died in the bombing have been told that the three are to be executed soon. The nightclub bombing killed 202 people, including 88 Australians.

The Indonesian president is expected to turn down a clemency petition, the Melbourne-based newspaper said.

The three defendants, members of the Islamist group Jemaah Islamiyah, have always said they wanted to become martyrs. However, their lawyers appealed, recently being turned down by the Indonesian Supreme Court.

Officials said that firing squads have already been selected and the executions can be carried out at any time.
