Software millionaire died in fall

HONOLULU, July 15 (UPI) -- Investigators in Hawaii say the bipolar disorder-afflicted millionaire founder of Webroot Software died of injuries suffered in a fall.

Steven Thomas, 36, who had homes in Boulder, Colo., and Hawaii, disappeared two weeks ago, the Rocky Mountain News reported. Hikers found his body Sunday at the foot of Pali, a cliff almost 1,000 feet high over Honolulu.

Thomas had been diagnosed with the mental disorder after being arrested in April outside his house in Lanikai, The Honolulu Advertiser reported. He ran naked into a race being held there.

Thomas's wife Candis described him as being upset about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and convinced that both the U.S. government and space aliens were after him.

Candis Thomas also said he told her the balcony at a hotel where he had been staying with his mother was not high enough "for what I need to do."

Police said there was no reason to suspect foul play.
