Pakistan general: No NATO buildup fear

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, July 15 (UPI) -- There is no reason to be concerned about a buildup of NATO forces on the Afghan border, a Pakistani general said Tuesday.

The director general of Inter Services Public Relations, Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas, said on private television Dawn News that all movements of forces and the vehicles on the Afghan side of the border were "routine."

"We closely monitor all such moves so there is none of such thing very close to the border. Certainly we have coordination and communication with each other," he said, adding that there was nothing to worry about or reason for hype in the media.
