KIEV, Ukraine, July 13 (UPI) -- A drunken man was killed by two brown bears Sunday at a zoo in southern Ukraine while attempting to snap a photograph of them, witnesses said.

A local television station said the man was trying to take a photo of the bruins when he accidentally toppled into their open-air cage and passed out, RIA Novosti reported Sunday.

Onlookers said they were yelling to alert authorities as they watched the bears rip the man into pieces.
