LONDON, July 13 (UPI) -- China has been giving Sudan supplies and training in violation of the U.N. embargo on arms for Darfur, the BBC said Sunday.
The BBC obtained its evidence for an episode of "Panorama" to be broadcast Monday.
"China's Secret War" claims China exported Dong Feng military trucks to Sudan in 2005. A BBC news team tracked one truck deep in the desert, where it was in the hands of a rebel group that reportedly captured it from the government.
Rebels gave the BBC film of a second truck. Both trucks were equipped with Chinese-made anti-aircraft guns.
The BBC said it also had evidence obtained from satellite photographs that two Chinese-made Fantan fighter jets were based at Nyala Airport in South Darfur earlier this year.
An estimated 300,000 people have been killed in Darfur and 2 million turned into refugees.
