Israeli-Palestinian prisoner swap on tap

ROSH HANIKRA, Israel, July 11 (UPI) -- There still could be some disruptions, but a long-delayed prisoner exchange between Israel and the Palestinians is on for next week, officials said Friday.

The swap is expected to be carried out on Wednesday or Thursday at the Rosh Hanikra Israel-Lebanon border crossing and should answer some questions for both sides, Haaretz reported.

But, there was no mention of the widely covered Gilad Shalit, the Israeli soldier kidnapped two years ago.

Hezbollah is expected to give Israel a full report on missing Israeli airman Ron Arad.

In return, Israel is to release a report on an Iranian journalist and three Iranian diplomats who were arrested during the first Lebanon war and executed following interrogations.
